Course: 1st year Education, Science Major

Date of Birth: 3 June 1992

At the age of 11 Alex’ parents separated and from then on he was moved from home to home due to poverty in the family. Combined, Alex’ parents manage a monthly income of just NZD170 or less than NZD6 a day. Consequently after graduating from High School Alex was unable to continue his education.

One of Alex’ burdens is to see his family restored and then lifted out of poverty and Alex believes that he will be the one who will do that.

Alex desires to pursue a career as a teacher not only because he sees great value in being an educator for the next generation of Filipinos, but also because he longs to inspire young people to live by the values of integrity and honesty and godliness.
